‘I do not consider myself a particular kind of photographer – I photograph
what I find beautiful or interesting. The natural and architectural landscape
inspires and informs my work’.
Nigel Cassidy has been a photographer for more than thirty years. During that
time he has photographed the landscape throughout Britain for book and journal
publishers. For ten years he photographed works of art and objects from the
ancient world, in museums and colleges in Cambridge, England, and conceptual
works of contemporary artists.
Nigel teaches photography and is currently working on several projects including
photographing the unique salt marsh environment of north Norfolk.
He lives with his wife Jan, a photographer, in Cambridgeshire, England.
‘A photograph records a moment in time. Within that moment is distilled
the artist’s passion, vision, expression, experience and knowledge. But it
is the image alone on which the artist will be judged.’
